Quality of instruction

The fast social progress and the ever growing expectations from graduates call for timely and adequate modernization of the academic process. Academic process has to be modernized to improve the quality of education. Currently, a clear and unambiguous definition of quality of education is missing, which is understandable. Something with so many parameters and criteria whose dominance changes depending on the instructional goal set can hardly be characterized exhaustively. Therefore, the quality of education can be seen as a measure of adequacy of meaningful characteristics of knowledge and skills for future professional activity. Study practices should develop based on objective criteria and the ultimate academic goal. Thus, an essential component of modernization of the academic process is the design of objective methodologies for monitoring and assessing the quality of the academic process.

MISSLA has developed and implemented a system for continuous monitoring of quality of the academic process and modernization of structure and methods of training focused on the ultimate academic goal. The system for monitoring and preparation of recommendations on improvements in the major components of structure and methods of training is based on the correlation and cluster analysis of the performance of students in tests. Analysis methodology and assessment criteria are based on the long-term research conducted by MISSLA in innovative methods and tools for assessment of quality of education.
